The "Quarterly Policy Journal (Chosa Kihou)," which had been out of publication for a few years, has been revived. At the same time, the "Citizens' Life White Paper 2026" has also been published. This is wonderful news. With Mayor Yamanaka Takeharu's second term under his leadership, it feels as though a tool to embody the "citizen's perspective" that should be there has been revived. The young people in charge of the Management Strategy Division (the section chief and two staff members) have racked their brains and, even after the demise of the policy support center that Nakagawa Kumiko and others had intended, have revived the "Quarterly Policy Journal in which Yokohama city officials, citizens, and experts can publish their opinions, discuss, and exchange ideas on important issues and administrative policies for citizens' lives (quoted from the city's website)." It seems that some officials joined Yokohama City out of admiration for Tamura Akira. The Citizens' Life White Paper 2026 has become also a well-made publication. I was informed of this news by a friend in the City Urban Design Section. As a person who runs the NPO Tamura Akira Research Group, this was truly wonderful news.
